Can I get dsl with no phone service ? - local landline phone service

I disconnected my home phone for more than 3 years because it was cheaper to go wireless and I was out of the house for 75% of the time. I think cable / DSL Internet connection, but now it is cheaper than DSL service can get you if you do not have telephone service over the landline? SBC local service in my area.
